What is LTL Shipping?
In the trucking industry we often use the terms LTL and FTL to designate different size shipments. An FTL shipment is a Full Truck Load shipment—meaning that the customer’s shipment occupies the entire truck. An LTL shipment is a Less Than Load shipment—meaning that the truck’s cargo area is shared by multiple customers. Not all trucking and shipping companies manage LTL shipments, but we do.
